Urinozinc Plus Beta-Sitosterol for a healthy prostate, support healthy urinary flow and healthy urinary functio!
URINOZINC PLUS BETA-SITOSTEROL contains the same ingredients found in the original URINOZINC formula plus: Beta-Sitosterol (200mg) increased amounts of Saw Palmetto (320mg) Vitamin D (400IU) Stinging Nettle extract
What is Beta-Sitosterol?
Beta-Sitosterol is one of several phytosterols (plant sterols) found in plants, including Saw Palmetto. It is the active ingredient in Saw Palmetto berries, which have been used for hundreds of years to support overall prostate health. Beta-Sitosterol has been recommended for years as a natural treatment to promote normal prostate function.
How does it work?
The main cause of an unhealthy prostate and thinning hair has been scientifically proven to be the same – the hormone DHT (Dihydrotestosterone). Diminishing the production of DHT, or blocking its binding to cell receptors either in the prostate or in the cells of hair follicles, will generate beneficial actions on your prostate and hair.
Ingredients in Urinozinc produce these effects on DHT. Many of the ingredients in Urinozinc have known benefits to the prostate gland - as outlined below - and assist the body in maintaining a health prostate with healthy prostate function. Urinozinc helps to maintain a healthy prostate and healthy prostate function. Ingredients: Urinozinc potent formula includes: Saw Palmetto Extract The fat-soluble extract of the saw palmetto berry has become one of the leading natural treatments for BPH, or Benign prostatic hyperplasia. Numerous human trials report that saw palmetto improves symptoms of BPH, although it may not greatly reduce the size of the prostate. Saw palmetto appears to prevent the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and thereby help to maintain normal prostate function. Saw palmetto also blocks DHT from binding in the prostate. A three-year preliminary study in Germany found that 160 mg of saw palmetto extract taken twice daily reduced nighttime urination in 73% of patients and improved urinary flow rates significantly. Pumpkin Seed
Pumpkin seed has become popular today as a treatment for BPH. One of the factors that contribute to BPH is over-stimulation of the prostate cells by testosterone and its conversion product, DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Components in pumpkin seed oil appear able to interrupt this triggering of prostate cell multiplication by testosterone and DHT, although the exact mechanism for this effect is still a matter of discussion. The carotenoids found in pumpkin seeds, and the omega-3 fats found in pumpkin seeds are also being studied for their potential prostate benefits. Men with higher amounts of carotenoids in their diet have less risk for BPH Pumpkin seed is considered to be one of the best natural sources of essential fatty acids (EFA’s), which promote free urinary flow. As the body does not manufacture EFA’s, they need to be replenished through a healthy diet or supplements. Pumpkin seed oil has been used in combination with saw palmetto in two double blind human studies to effectively reduce symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). Researchers have suggested that the zinc, free fatty acid, or plant sterol content of pumpkin seeds might account for their benefit in men with BPH. Studies have shown that pumpkin seed extracts can improve the function of the bladder and urethra, this might partially account for BPH symptom relief. Zinc Possibly the single most important nutrient for a healthy prostate. The normal prostate gland contains more zinc than any other organ. Zinc supplementation has been shown to diminish the symptoms of BPH and actually reduce the size of the prostate. Adequate zinc also prevents the formation of dihyrotestosterone (DHT), making it a multipurpose mineral for total prostate health. Vitamin E Vitamin E may substantially reduce the risk of prostate cancer. A study conducted in Finland followed 29,132 men from 1985 to 1991. The men who took Vitamin E, (50 IU's per day) experienced 41 percent fewer deaths from prostate cancer than those not receiving Vitamin E. Vitamin B-6 Vitamin B-6, the universal catalyst or carrier, helps all other nutrients to work better. Additionally, Vitamin B-6 has a direct effect upon prolactin levels, reducing them safely and naturally. A reduction of prolactin prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT)
. Pygeum Africanum
An extract from the bark of an African plum tree, this has been used to treat urinary tract infections. Pygeum Africanum has been used to treat BPH in Europe since the 1980s. It is believed that it also inhibits the conversion of testosterone to DHT, thus helping to maintain normal prostate function. In an analysis of 18 trials, the herb provided a moderate improvement in the symptoms associated with BPH compared to placebo. Side effects were mild. Lycopene An anti-oxidant that may lower the risk of prostate cancer especially when combined with Vitamin E. A Harvard Medical School study showed a measurable relationship between lycopene and the reduction of prostate cancer. Urinozinc’s formula also contains Magnesium, Selenium, Folic Acid, and Vitamin B-12, natural ingredients which have been shown to support overall prostate health. What is the difference between Urinozinc and URINOZINC Plus Beta-Sitosterol?
URINOZINC PLUS BETA-SITOSTEROL contains all of the same ingredients as the original Urinozinc plus 200mg of Beta-Sitosterol, additional Saw Palmetto, Stinging Nettle Extract and Vitamin D. Urinozinc
For Hair Loss?? While Urinozinc was originally formulated to help alleviate the symptoms associated with BPH, it is also effective for reversing hair loss. Many persons today use Urinozinc solely for hair loss, while others utilize it for the symptoms associated with BPH and often times report the added benefit that it provides for their hair loss.
THERE ARE SO MANY REASONS TO TAKE URINOZINC!
Male pattern baldness
The most common form of baldness is a progressive hair thinning condition called androgenic alopecia or 'male pattern baldness' that occurs in adult male humans and other species. In “male pattern baldness” hair is lost in a well-defined pattern, beginning above both temples. Hair also thins at the crown of the head.
Often a rim of hair around the sides and rear of the head is left, or the condition may progress to complete baldness. Androgens and hair loss Androgens are a group of chemically related sex steroid hormones – the primary and most well known being testosterone.
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a biologically active metabolite of testosterone, formed primarily in the prostate gland, testes, hair follicles, and adrenal glands. Androgen’s must be present for baldness to occur. Current research shows that the balding scalp contains miniaturized hair follicles and increased amounts of DHT compared to a hairy scalp.
This suggests that it is the excess presence of DHT in the scalp tissue that causes “male pattern baldness” in those patients genetically predisposed. Saw Palmetto – a natural anti-androgen Saw palmetto extract is considered to both a natural Anti-androgen and a DHT Inhbitor , and as such is suggested as a potential treatment for male pattern baldness. The mechanism of action is thought to be that by preventing or slowing down the breakdown of testosterone to DHT, one can prevent or minimize premature male pattern baldness. It is believed that Saw Palmetto may block the enzyme (5-alpha-reductase) from converting the hormone testosterone into DHT.
Research suggests that blocking DHT production affects the entire body not just the prostate.
In terms of hair growth, the reduction of DHT may allow hair follicles to re-open and engage in new hair growth.
Evidence also shows that DHT reduction may also maintain the health of productive follicles.

The fat-soluble extract of the saw palmetto berry has become one of the leading natural treatments for BPH (be sure that your prostate supplement uses Saw PalmettoEXTRACT)
Numerous human trials report that saw palmetto improves symptoms of BPH, although it may not greatly reduce the size of the prostate.
Saw palmetto appears to possess 5-α-reductase inhibitory activity, preventing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and thereby helping to maintain normal prostate function. Saw palmetto also blocks DHT from binding in the prostate.
A three-year preliminary study in Germany found that 160 mg of saw palmetto extract taken twice daily reduced nighttime urination in 73% of patients and improved urinary flow rates significantly. A review of all available double-blind trials has concluded that saw palmetto extract is effective for treatment of men with BPH and is just as effective as, with fewer side effects than, the drug finasteride.
Consumer Reports, which is conservative by nature, gave a thumbs-up to saw palmetto in its September 2000 issue.
